Questa foto dell'ammasso aperto delle Pleiadi con l'inviluppo delle nebulose è stata scattata il 31 dicembre 2007 da Arcidosso (GR) al fuoco diretto di un telescopio Takahashi TSA 102 con riduttore di focale su montatura G41 Obs con elettronica FS2. L'esposizione è la somma di 11 frames da 7 minuti ciascuno con la Canon EOS 20D settata a 800 ISO, è stata effettuata con autoguida ST4 su un rifrattore 120/600 in parallelo. Successivamente i frames sono stati sommati con Deep Sky Stacker, è stato sottratto il dark e applicato il flat, e processate mediante applicazione di uno stretching, maschera sfocata, bilanciamento dei colori e riduzione del rumore. This photo of the Pleiades cluster (M 45 - Mel 22), in Taurus, was taken on december 31, 2007 from the backyard of my home in Arcidosso, in Italy, near Grosseto, at the prime focus of a Takahashi TSA102 refractor with focal reducer using a Gemini G41 obs mount and FS2 controller. The photo is the sum of 11 frames of 11 minutes using a Canon Eos 20D camera at 800 ISO and they were taken with a Sbig ST4 autoguide on a small refractor 120/600. Then I summed the frames with Deep Sky Stacker, subtracted the dark and applied the flat, and processed the file with a stretching, an unsharp mask, a color balance and, last, a noise reduction.
