Le galassie M65 (NGC 3623) e M66 (NGC 3627) nel Leone The M65 (NGC 3623) and M66 (NGC 3627) galaxies in Leo A.R. 11h20m00s - Decl. +13°12'10"

Questa foto delle due galassie M65 e M66 nel Leone è stata scattata il 23 dicembre 2006 da Arcidosso (GR) al fuoco diretto di un telescopio Vixen R200SS (200 mm F:4) su montatura EQ6 + Vixen Skysensor 2000PC. La foto è la somma di 12 esposizioni da 5 minuti cadauna, con una fotocamera digitale Canon Eos 300D con filtro modificato, settata a 800 ISO, che sono state effettuate con inseguimento mediante rifrattore 102/500 in parallelo e autoguida SBIG ST4. Successivamente i frames sono stati sommati con Registar, e processate mediante compositazione, applicazione di un filtro ddp uno stretching, maschera sfocata, bilanciamento dei colori e riduzione del rumore. Nella foto è visibile anche la galassia NGC 3628  (A.R. 11h20m18s - Decl. +13°35'00") a destra. This photo of the couple of galaxies M65 and M66 in Leo, was taken on the night of december 23, 2006 from Arcidosso, near Grosseto, in Italy, at the prime focus of a newtonian telescope Vixen R200SS (200 mm diameter F:4) on a EQ6 mount with Vixen Skysensor 2000 PC. The photo is the sum of 12 frames, each of 5 minutes, with a Dslr camera Canon Eos 300D Rebel (filter modified), exposed at 800 ISO, taken with a Sbig ST4 autoguide on a refractor 102/500. Then I summed the frames with Registar, joined together, and processed the files, using a ddp filter, a stretching, an unsharp mask, a color balance and, last, a noise reduction. On the right of the photo you can see also the galaxy NGC 3628 (A.R. 11h20m18s - Decl. +13°35'00")
