Questa foto della nebulosa Velo (NGC 6960), visibile nella costellazione del Cigno, è stata scattata il 12 maggio 2007 sul Monte Amiata (GR) al fuoco diretto di un telescopio Vixen R200SS (200 mm F:4) su montatura EQ6 con Skysensor 2000PC. La foto è la somma di 11 esposizioni da 12 minuti cadauna, con una fotocamera digitale Canon Eos 300D con filtro modificato, settato a 400 ISO, che sono state effettuate con inseguimento mediante rifrattore 102/500 in parallelo e autoguida SBIG ST4. Successivamente i frames sono stati sommati con Registar. E' stato elaborato il segnale di luminanza mediante stretching, maschera sfocata e riduzione del rumore. Successivamente è stata riunita la componente di crominanza e effettuato il bilanciamento del colore. This photo of the Veil Nebula (NGC 6960), in Cygnus, was taken on may 12, 2007 on the Amiata Mount, in Italy, near Grosseto, at the prime focus of a Vixen R200SS telescope (200 mm F:4) using a Syntha Eq6 mount with Vixen Skysensor 2000PC. The photo is the sum of 11 frames, each of 12 minutes, with a Dslr camera Canon Eos 300D Rebel (filter modified), exposed at 400 ISO, taken with a Sbig ST4 autoguide on a refractor 102/500. Then I summed the frames with Registar, and processed the luminance layer using a stretching, an unsharp mask, a noise reduction. At last I joined the crominance layer and set a color balance.
