Questa foto dell'insieme delle nebulose presso Zeta Orionis (Alnitak) e cioè la nebulosa Testa di Cavallo, la nebulosa Fiamma e le nebulose IC434 e NGC 2023 è stata scattata il 22 novembre 2008 da Arcidosso (GR) al fuoco diretto di un telescopio Takahashi FS60C (60 mm F:6.2) su montatura Gemini G41 Obs con FS2. La foto è la somma di 9 esposizioni da 12 minuti cadauna, con una fotocamera digitale Canon Eos 40D con filtro modificato, settato a 400 ISO, che sono state effettuate con inseguimento mediante rifrattore 102/500 in parallelo e autoguida SBIG ST4. Successivamente i frames sono stati calibrati con Deep Sky Stacker mediante sottrazione di dark e divisione di flat, sommati con Registar, e processate mediante compositazione, applicazione di maschere passa basso, maschere sfuocate, elaborazione separate delle stelle e, alla fine, bilanciamento dei colori e riduzione del rumore. This photo of the complex of nebulas near Zeta Orionis (Alnitak), that is to say the Horse Haed nebula B33, the Flame nebula NGC 2024 and the related ones IC 434 and NGC 2023, was taken on the night of november 22, 2008 from Arcidosso, near Grosseto, in Italy, at the prime focus of a Takahashi FS60C telescope (60 mm F:6.2) using a Gemini G41 Obs mount with FS2. The photo is the sum of 9 frames, each of 12 minutes, with a Dslr camera Canon Eos 40D (filter modified), exposed at 400 ISO, taken with a Sbig ST4 autoguide on a refractor 102/500. Then I calibrated the files with dark subtraction, flats application, using Deep Sky Stacker, I summed them with Registar, and processed the files, using low pass masks, unsharp mask, separated processing of the stars and, at the end, a color balance and, last, a noise reduction.
