La Cometa 2007 N3 Lulin The 2007 N3 comet (Lulin)

Questa foto, scattata il 22 febbraio 2009 da Arcidosso (GR) usando una macchina fotografica digitale Canon Eos 40D, è la somma di solo 22 scatti di 240 secondi l'uno realizzati con un Telescopio Takahashi TSA102S a f/8 a 800 ISO. La foto è stata effettuata usando una montatura Gemini G41 Obs con Fs2 e con autoguida Sbig ST4 su un rifrattore da 120 mm f/5 in parallelo inseguendo sul nucleo della cometa. Gli scatti sono stati effettuati fra le 00:47 TU e le 02:36 TU. La foto è stata elaborata con Deep Sky Stacker che ha permesso di sommare le singole foto allineando il nucleo cometario. L'elaborazione in bianco e nero con una decisa maschera sfocata ha messo in evidenza la struttura dell'anticoda. This photo, taken on february 22, 2009 from Arcidosso, in Italy, near Grosseto, with a Canon Eos 40D Digital camera, is the sum of only 22 pictures of 240 seconds each with a Takahashi TSA 102S telescope at f/8 exposed at 800 ISO. The shots were taken with a Gemini G41 Obs mount with FS2 controller guided with a Sbig St4 on a refractor 120 mm f/5 guidng on the nucleus of the comet. The shots were taken between 00:47 and 02:36 UT. I used the software Deep Sky Stacker to preocess the photo stacking on the nucleus of the comet. The processing with a strong Unsharp Mask enhanced the structure of the second tail.
